Tempted by various delicious foods, for FSGS kidney disease patients, they should better realize what kind of foods can be eaten while what are better choices. Generally speaking, the following four points about diet for FSGS kidney disease patients during Christmas patients should pay more attention to;

1. Have high quality protein diet: protein is an essential nutrition material needed by our body. But for FSGS kidney disease patients, not the more the better. The reason is that too many proteins will increase the burden of our kidneys and thus aggravate the condition to a large extent. So having a high quality protein diet is highly recommended to them, which usually can be ingested from egg white, milk, lean meat, fresh fish and so on, but the amount should depend on your illness condition.

2. Limit the intake of fat and cholesterol: especially for Children, compared with vegetables and staple food, they prefer to eat cookies and candies which are high in fat and cholesterol. In view of this, when enjoying this big festival, their parents should remember to remind your child to eat some healthy foods.

3. Low-salt diet: during Christmas, ham is a delicious appeal to many people, but it is a pity that those with severe FSGS kidney disease patients, it should be avoided. Other high salt foods like bacon, sausage, pickles, canned soups, cheese, etc are also bad for FSGS kidney disease patients.

As for drinks, beer, dark cola, etc are poor choices since they are high in phosphorus.
