Treatment And FSGS

Treatment And FSGSMedical treatment is needed to stop illness progression if we are attacked by FSGS, because it is life-threatening when it develops to advanced stage. Well, what is the treatment for FSGS?

Conventional treatment for FSGS

Conventional treatment for FSGS include specific treatment and nonspecific treatment.

Specific treatment: Specific treatment for FSGS include optimal blood pressure control and the use of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, or angiotension receptor blockers. If illness can not be brought under control, medicines like prednisone and immunosuppressive agents will be required.

Nonspecific treatment: Nonspecific treatment for FSGS include nutrition supply, elimination of protein in urine, alleviation of swelling as well as prevention of complications. To achieve the treatment goals, medicines like diuretics, ACEIs, ARBs, as well as a low-salt diet is necessary. Besides, calculating protein intake is also needed to alleviate illness condition.

Both non-specific treatment and specific treatment are based on oral medicines, especially glucocorticoid and immunosuppressive agents. This kind of treatment is effective and bring illness under control quickly, but two things we need to know is: this kind of treatment always cause terrible side effects and FSGS treated with this method relapses easily.

Alternative Treatment for FSGS

In our hospital, FSGS is treated differently and our treatment goal is to increase kidney function as well as reverse illness condition. In our hospital, the following measures are needed in the treatment for FSGS:

1. Use oral medicines like ACE inhibitors, ARBs and some Chinese medicines like Mai kang mixture to keep blood pressure in normal range fundamentally.

2. Use diuretics which can be western medicine or herbs of diuretic function to cure edema.

3. Use Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy to repair injured glomeruli, so as to increse kidney function and reverse illness condition. In this way, protein in urine can be reduced permanently.

4. A well-planed diet to reduce kidney burden.

5. With medicated bath, foot bath and enema to cleanse blood and promote blood circuation, so as to alleviate renal ischemia and renal anoxia.

For these whose illness has developed to kidney failure stage, Blood Pollution Therapy is available to increase kidney function. All in all, FSGS is treatable and we can live as well as we did before if we treat it rightly and timely with natural treatment method.
