Treatment for ESRD Caused by FSGS Without Transplant

Question: I have FSGS and I am in end stage. Is there any treatment for the disease without transplant?

Treatment for ESRD Caused by FSGS Without TransplantAnswer: Transplant is a common used kidney replacement treatment for ESRD patients. It is to put a healthy kidney into your body to replace the damaged one to work. Compared with dialysis, transplant allows you to go back a relatively normal life. But after transplant, you have to take immunosuppressants to prevent rejection. This kind of medicine lowers your immune system if used for long-term, which exposes you to various diseases. Besides, FSGS has a very high recurrence rate. For some patients, FSGS comes back immediately after transplant. Therefore, transplant is not a good choice for FSGS patients.

If you still have urine output, it is possible for you to reverse kidney damage so as to stay away from transplant.

Urine output indicates that some of your kidney tissues are still working. Among those kidney tissues, some may be inflammatory and some may be intact. There are therapies to help you repair the inflammatory ones so as to restore some kidney function, such as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Mediated Bath, Circle Therapy, Enema Therapy, Steam Therapy, Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Some of them can draw out toxins from your body so as to reduce their damage to the kidneys. Some can dilate blood vessels and remove stasis to increase blood flow into the kidneys so as to improve ischemia and anoxia in the kidneys. Moreover, some can decompose the immune complexes and remove them from kidneys so as to eliminate kidney inflammation. After a period of treatment, the inflammatory kidney tissues regain their ability fully. As to those necrotic tissues, you can take advantage of biotherapy or stem cell therapy to restore them.

If you do not have urine output, it indicates that your kidneys have damaged totally. And then there is no treatment to help you. For more information about our treatment, please contact online doctor or leave a message below.
