Does IgA Nephropathy Lead to FSGS

Does IgA Nephropathy Lead to FSGSIgA Nephropathy (Berger’s Disease) is the most common form of glomerulonephritis in the world, which is caused by immunoglobulin A depositing in the glomeruli, where it creates inflammation. FSGS is a kidney disorder that describes scarring in scattered regions of the kidney, typically limited to one part of the glomerulus and to a minority of glomeruli in the affected region. Not a few IgA Nephropathy patients have FSGS. Does IgA Nephropathy lead to FSGS?

FSGS is one type of IgA Nephropathy.

As we all know, it is the IgA caused glomeruli inflammation for IgA Nephropathy. If you can not block the inflammation timely, it can scar your glomeruli, leading to FSGS. But it is usually necessary for you to do renal biopsy to ensure FSGS. With FSGS, you may have proteinuria, swelling, hypoproteinemia, hyperlipemia and some other symptoms.

How to treatment FSGS caused by IgA Nephropathy?

If you have both IgA Nephropathy and FSGS, you should take treatment as early as possible to prevent further kidney damage. Conventional treatment for IgA Nephropathy is to use steroids and other immunosuppressants to block the inflammation, but those immune complexes are still in the kidneys to cause further damage. In order to have a better control of IgA Nephropathy, we develop Immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is a combination of western medicine and Chinese medicine. This therapy can cleanse the cycling immune complexes in the blood, remove cytokine and decompose the deposited immune complexes in the kidneys to eliminate kidney inflammation. It can also strengthen innate immune system to reduce the production of immune complexes. Besides, it can increase the kidneys’ tolerance to immune complexes so as to prevent inflammation. After a period of treatment, your kidney disease can get under control.
