Is Creatinine Level 2.06 and GFR 42 Dangerous for IgA Nephropathy Patients

Question: I have IgA Nephropathy. Now my creatinine level is 2.06 and my GFR is 42. Is it dangerous? Do I need to go on a diet?

Is Creatinine Level 2.06 and GFR 42 Dangerous for IgA Nephropathy PatientsAnswer: Creatinine 2.06 and GFR 42 means you are in stage 3 CKD. Generally speaking, it does not threaten your life in such a stage, because your damaged kidneys do not have seriously effect on your whole body. But you still have many symptoms, such as swelling, foamy urine, blood urine, fatigue, shortness of breath, etc. If you want to live a normal life, you should find a suitable treatment plan to bring IgA Nephropathy under control.

Immunotherapy for IgA Nephropathy

IgA Nephropathy is an autoimmune disease, which is caused by immunoglobulin A depositing in the kidneys. Conventional treatment can help you block inflammatory response caused by IgA and relieve symptoms, such as blood urine and foamy urine. But they can not cleanse IgA from the kidneys, neither regulate immune system. Some other factors such as infections will trigger the relapse of IgA Nephropathy again.

The reason why we choose Immunotherapy is that it does not only regulate immune system, but also cleanse IgA and its immune complexes from the blood as well as increase the kidneys’ tolerance to IgA so as to reduce kidney inflammation. Immunotherapy is a combination of western medicine and Chinese medicine. They can make up respective shortcoming and reduce each other’s side effects. All in all, they can help you promote kidney function.

You need to go on a diet.

Diet plays an important role in consolidating therapeutic effects. In your case, you should restrict the intake of protein and sodium. Besides, you should supplement moderate vitamins through fresh vegetables and fruits. Do you have medical test report? If you have, please send it to igacure@gmail.com. After analyzing your case, our doctor can give you some personalized suggestion on diet.

Though creatinine level 2.06 and GFR 42 is not dangerous for IgA Nephropathy patients, you should take treatment as early as possible to prevent further kidney damage so as to keep kidney failure away.
