You can eat moderate high quality protein.

High quality protein contains more essential amino acids, which can be absorbed by our body to maintain its function so that it produces less waste products. This is good for kidney function preservation. In stage 3, 0.6-0.8 g/kg protein is recommended. Egg white, lean meat, poultry without skin and milk and so on are all high quality protein.

You can eat food low in salt.

Sodium in salt can retain water and increase blood volume so as to worsen your edema and high blood pressure. If you do not have edema and hypertension, there is no need to restrict salt intake. But to protect your kidneys, you had better limit salt intake into 3 g per day.

You can eat fresh vegetables and fruits.

Fresh vegetables and fruits are great source of vitamins, trace elements, dietary fiber and some other nutrient values. They are all essential for body and they can also help you improve medical condition. For examples, food high in vitamins can strengthen your immune system so as to help you fight against the disease and food high in dietary fiber can help you improve constipation and lower cholesterol level. But if your blood potassium level or phosphorus level is high, you should limit the food high in them.
