Precaution to Stop Protein in Urine for IgA Nephropathy Patients

Precaution to Stop Protein in Urine for IgA Nephropathy PatientsAs we all know, blood urine is a typical symptom of IgA Nephropathy (Berger’s Disease) patients. But not a few IgA Nephropathy patients have proteinuria along with blood urine. In the following, let’s have a look at precaution to stop protein in urine for IgA Nephropathy patients.

Take precaution to protein intake

Though protein loses from your body, there is no need to supplement massive protein, because too much protein intake increases blood flow into kidney and raises GFR so as to worsen proteinuria. But it does not mean you should avoid protein intake. It is necessary for you to supplement moderate high quality protein like egg white, lean meat and fish to satisfy the need of body.

Take precaution to high blood pressure

High blood pressure is a common complication of IgA Nephropathy. High blood pressure oppresses protein out of vessels, so if your blood pressure is high, you should lower blood pressure. ACEI and ARBs are the common used medicines for hypertension and reduce protein leakage.

Take precaution to strenuous exercise

Strenuous exercise can also worsen your protein leakage. If you have massive proteinuria, you had better stay in bed to have a good rest. When your state of illness is stabilized, you can do some gentle exercise, such as walking, jogging and tai chi.

Take precaution to infections

When you get infections, a lot of immune complexes come into being, which may aggravate kidney inflammation so that protein leaks into urine. Therefore, in the daily, you should take good care of yourself and strengthen immune system to prevent infections.
