How to Increase Urine Output for IgA Nephropathy Patients with Dialysis

Question: My brother has IgA Nephropathy. He is under going dialysis twice in a week for the last six months. Now his urine out is very less, that is, water intake 750 and urine out 150 ml. How to increase urine out please?

How to Increase Urine Output for IgA Nephropathy Patients with DialysisAnswer: Less urine out is common for kidney patients after dialysis. There are two reasons that can cause less urine out.

First, dialysis does not only filter waste from the blood, but also removes extra water. When fluid in the body is less, renal tubule will absorb more fluid into the body and then urine out decreases.

Second, during dialysis, blood is transported into the dialysis machine, and kidneys are in a state of relative ischemia. That is why long-term dialysis makes the kidneys shrink. As a result, kidney function is less and less and then urine output declines.

How to increase urine output for IgA Nephropathy patients with dialysis?

Dialysis is just a kind of kidney replacement treatment to decrease the toxin concentration in the blood so as to protect the kidneys, but it can improve kidney function.

If you use Traditional Chinese Medicine with dialysis, it is possible to protect the remaining kidney tissues and repair the inflammatory ones to improve kidney function. In Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital, there are many particular therapies, such as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Immunotherapy, Medicated foot bath, full bath, circle therapy, enema therapy, moxibustion and steam therapy.

Some of them can draw out toxins from the blood to reduce the damage to the kidneys. Some can dilate blood vessels and remove stasis to increase blood flow into the kidneys so as to improve ischemia and anoxia. Some can combine with immune complexes, split them and remove them from the blood to alleviate inflammation. And some can degrade extracellular matrix to stop kidney fibrosis and supply the kidneys with the essential nutrients to aid in their recovery. Moreover, they can regulate the abnormal immune system and protect you from various aliments.

After a period of treatment, the inflammatory tissues can regain their ability and your kidney function will also be enhanced so that urine output will increase. Sometimes kidney function increases so much that you can get rid of dialysis.

If you do not take treatment as early as possible, urine out will become less and less until it disappears. At that time, no treatment can help you.
