What Can I Do Not to Increase Creatinine Level with IgA Nephropathy

Question: I was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy 7 years ago. My creatinine level is 1.7. Could you please advise what diet is good to take as my creatinine initially was 1.5 and now 1.7. Please advise me what I can do to not increase the creatinine levels.

What Can I Do Not to Increase Creatinine Level with IgA NephropathyAnswer: Creatinine is the indicator of kidney function. The increased creatinine level means your kidney function declines. Creatinine 1.7 means you are in stage 2 kidney disease. Early treatment can help you reverse IgA Nephropathy and live a normal life.

You should follow a renal-friendly diet.

-Limit the intake of meat. But you can eat moderate lean meat to satisfy the need of body.

-Drink some herbal tea, such as nettle leaf tea and dandelion tea, which can increase urine output. With urine output, creatinine can be passed out of the body.

-Add fresh vegetables and fruits into diet, because they are high in vitamins, which helps vitalize kidney function and decrease creatinine level.

You should do exercise regularly.

Exercise will increase muscle contraction so as to increase creatinine production. But it does not mean you should avoid exercise. Doing some gentle exercise is OK. Walking, jogging, tai chi and yoga are good choices. They can boost your immune system, lower blood pressure, reduce cholesterol level, improve appetite, etc.

You should repair the damaged kidneys and improve kidney function.

Increased creatinine level results from kidney function impairment. If you do not want creatinine level to increase, you should repair the damaged kidneys. IgA Nephropathy is an autoimmune disease, so we should set about regulating the abnormal immune system. Immunotherapy is such a therapy. It can cleanse immune complexes and some other inflammatory factors from the kidneys to reduce kidney inflammation. It can also strengthen your immune system to help you fight against kidney disease. With Immunotherapy, the damaged kidneys can gradually repair the damaged kidneys and improve kidney function. And then creatinine level decreases.

Now your creatinine level continues to rise. If you do not take measures as early as possible, more kidney function will decrease. For more information, please contact us at igacure@gmail.com or leave a message below.
