What Can We Do to Keep IgA Nephropathy At Bay

What Can We Do to Keep IgA Nephropathy At BayIgA Nephropathy is not an ailment, but a refractory illness which can cause kidney failure and life-threatening complications like heart failure. Well, when we are attacked by IgA Nephropathy, what can we do to keep it at bay?

IgA Nephropathy is a disease involving immune disorder and large amounts of IgA in mesangial area. In IgA Nephropathy, kidney tissues are damaged by inflammation resulted from IgA deposition, so to keep IgA Nephropathy at bay, the following measures are needed:

1. Blocking of inflammation

Immunosuppressive agents help block inflammation and protect residual kidney tissues, so they are commonly used. This is an important step, but beside it, we also need to clear IgA deposition away from kidney and blood. Only in this way, can inflammation be avoided permanently.

2. Tight control of blood pressure

IgA Nephropathy can be accompanied with or without high blood pressure. For these who have elevated blood pressure, ACE inhibitors and ARBs are needed to keep blood pressure in normal range. Additional, if you fail to tightly control high blood pressure with these tablets, you can try Chinese medicine like Mai Kang Mixture which not only reduces blood pressure, but also reduces risk for atherosclerosis.

3. Regulate immune system and increase immunity

IgA Nephropathy is an autoimmune disease and if we want to have though recovery, regulating immune system is also necessary. Many Chinese medicines have been proven to be able to regulate immune system, increase immunity as well as improve blood circulation. We need to choose the right one according to our own illness condition and physical condition.

4. Repair injured kidney tissues to increase kidney function

In IgA Nephropathy, there are three types of kidney tissues: healthy one, injured one and necrotic one. Necrotic kidney tissues are dead one and there is nothing we can do to bring them back to life. However, the injured one can be repaired well with Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Foot Bath as well as some oral Chinese herbs. They are effective and meanwhile harmless.

We are always told there is no cure for IgA Nephropathy when being diagnosed with it. That is true there is no complete cure for IgA Nephropathy, but there is way for us to keep it at bay and live as well as we did before.
