IgA Nephropathy: Is What I Am Doing Sufficient

Question: I have IgA Nephropathy and the treatment my doctor gave me is to not eat meat, no dairy fat, no oil other than extra virgin olive oil, and to take high doses of Omega 3. At first I started getting better but after a couple years my numbers have gone worse. Is what I am doing sufficient?

IgA Nephropathy: Is What I Am Doing SufficientAnswer: If you simply rely on healthy diet and high doses of Omega 3, the illness condition could be controlled temporarily, but it is not good enough in the long time.

Healthy diet is an adjuvant treatment to help stabilize the disease, and Omega 3 is to inhibit kidney inflammation to reduce kidney damage. None of them can help regulate the abnormal immune system and clear those deposited immune complexes in the kidneys. We should know that IgA Nephropathy is an autoimmune disease which causes IgA immune complexes to deposit in glomeruli, leading to kidney inflammation and over time kidney damage. Therefore, the treatment should not only focus on suppressing kidney inflammation, but also removing those immune complexes. That is why you started getting better but after a couple years, you numbers have gone worse.

If you really want to get IgA Nephropathy well controlled, you should change your current medical treatment.

In Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital, Toxin-Removing Treatment is often used. It is a systemic Chinese medicine treatment, which takes advantage of various Chinese medicine therapies such as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Medicated Bath, Foot Bath, Enema Therapy, oral Chinese medicine and so on to remove massive waste products including immune complexes out of body. After about one week’s treatment, you will see floccules in urine, which are those wastes and immune complexes. This treatment can also help adjust the abnormal immune system to reduce the production of immune complexes and strengthen your immunity to fight against the disease and reduce its relapse. Besides, it can help make internal environment good for kidney self-healing and other medication application. After half month’s treatment, high creatinine level, high BUN and high uric acid level will decrease. Symptoms such as back pain, proteinuria, blood urine, high blood pressure and so on will get relieved. After about one month’s treatment, your kidney function will get better.
