What Is the Cure for IgA Nephropathy

What Is the Cure for IgA NephropathyIgA Nephropathy is a kind of primary glomerular disease that is most common to see. This disease is triggered by IgA depositing in the glomerular mesangial area. What is the cure for IgA Nephropathy? This question really troubles both doctors and patients. In the following, there is some general treatment recommendations. Hope it can help you.

Generally speaking, there is no special treatment for IgA Nephropathy. In clinic, we always take different measures according to the different medical condition of patients. The main purpose is to protect kidney function and slow down the progression to kidney failure.

1. If you only have microscopic haematuria, it is not necessary for you to receive treatment. What you should do is to have a regular follow-up.

2. If you have frequent gross hematuria, you may have the lesion removed. And according to the amount of proteinuria, triple therapies namely tripterygium glycosides, rheum emodin and ACEI/ARB are often used.

3. If your urine test is abnormal, the triple therapies are also often used to treat your disease.

4. If you have massive proteinuria, you should follow a low protein diet. Besides, the triple therapies are also helpful.

5. If you have high blood pressure, ACEI/ARB, CCB and diuretics are the common medications to be used to lower blood pressure. If your proteinuria is more than 1.5 g/24h, tripterygium glycosides should be used along with the hypotensive drugs.

6. If you have vasculitis, MMF and CTX are often used.

Besides the above treatment, there is Immunotherapy and seven TCM stereoscopic therapies, including cycle therapy, hot compress therapy, foot bath therapy, full bath therapy, enema therapy, oral Chinese medicine Therapy and moxibustion therapy. They can regulate the abnormal immune system and help repair the damaged kidneys. With this treatment plan, you do not need to worry about the relapse and side effects and you can live a relatively normal life.
