Protein +++, Creatinine 2, Potassium 4.4 and IgA Nephropathy: What to Do

Question: Hi, my mother diagnosed IgA Nephropathy last 3 weeks ago. Protein in urine is +++ and blood also. Creatinine level is 2.00 and potassium is 4.4. I am really worry about her disease. Please help me.

Protein +++, Creatinine 2, Potassium 4.4 and IgA Nephropathy: What to DoAnswer: Generally speaking, IgA Nephropathy (Berger’s Disease) is a very benign kidney disease. But from what you said, I can see that your mother’s medical condition is very severe. Her potassium is still within normal range (3.6-5.2 mmol/L). But increased creatinine indicates that her kidney function has been impaired by IgA Nephropathy. And protein +++ indicates that kidney inflammation is very active now. Inflammation can increase the permeability of capillaries so that protein which should be retained in the body leaks into urine. Proteinuria is an adverse prognostic factor in IgA Nephropathy. Therefore, to have a good prognosis, patients should eliminate protein from urine as early as possible.

IgA Nephropathy is an autoimmune disease caused by IgA immune complexes depositing in the kidneys. Immunotherapy is a combination of western medicine and Chinese medicine. It can cleanse immune complexes and inflammatory factors from the blood to reduce kidney inflammation. It can also block kidney inflammation and increase the kidneys’ tolerance to immune complexes so as to prevent further kidney damage. Besides, it can strengthen your immune system to help you fight against the disease and set up a good blood environment for kidney self-healing. With the improvement of kidney function, protein in urine will gradually disappear and creatinine level will go down.

Now it is still possible to normalize creatinine level and protect the remaining kidney function. If you would like to acquire a personalized treatment plan, please send medical test report to igacure@gmail.com. Our doctors will contact you later.
