Nephrotic Syndrome, Proteinuria still 4+ After 3 Months’ Treatment: What to Do

Question: I was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. I intake prednisone, enalapril and altovastatin for 3 months. But unfortunately my urine protein test still is 4+. The doctor changed medication now instead Prednisone intake now omeprazole.

Nephrotic Syndrome, Proteinuria still 4+ After 3 Months’ Treatment: What to DoAnswer: Massive proteinuria is a typical symptom of Nephrotic Syndrome. Without timely treatment, it can speed up glomerulosclerosis and impair renal function further. Now let’s take a look at your current treatment.

-Prednisone is an oral, synthetic corticosteroid (steroid) used for suppressing the immune system and inflammation. When renal inflammation gets under control, proteinuria will be reduced.

-Enalapril is an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI) used to treat high blood pressure. It also has the function of reducing protein leakage and protecting renal function.

-Atorvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering medication that blocks the production of cholesterol.

-Omeprazole is a medication that reduces the amount of acid in your stomach.

With the above treatment, your protein in urine is still 4+. It means the treatment is not effective. Have you done any renal biopsy? Maybe you should do it once to have a clear diagnosis of pathological type. Your doctor use Omeprazole to replace prednisone, but Omeprazole is not helpful to improve proteinuria, but to counteract the side effects of prednisone and protect your stomach.

Toxin-Removing Treatment can help you reduce proteinuria in a month.

For your case, we recommend you to try Toxin-Removing Treatment. It is a systemic treatment, which is composed of 9 therapies. Those therapies can work together to eliminate excessive substances such as metabolic wastes and extra fluid from body. They can also restore the balance of anti-inflammatory cytokines and pro-inflammatory cytokines to reduce renal inflammation and control the disease from getting worse. Moreover, they can improve blood circulation and increase blood flow into kidneys so that enough essential elements such as oxygen, nutrients and active ingredients of medicine can be transported into nidus to speed up kidney recovery.

-After about one week’s treatment, swelling will fade away.

-After about half month’s treatment, proteinuria will be reduced.

-After about one month’s treatment, Nephrotic Syndrome will be under control, and renal function will get strengthened.

If you have Nephrotic Syndrome, and proteinuria 4+ does not get under control for over 3 months, you should change your current treatment plan. For more information on Nephrotic Syndrome treatment, please leave a message below or contact online doctor.
