Will Nephrotic Syndrome Cause Fluid in Lung

Will Nephrotic Syndrome Cause Fluid in Lung“If a person has Nephrotic Syndrome, will it eventually cause fluid in her lungs?” Today when I opened my email: igacure@gmail.com, I found this message which finally I know comes from a young lady who has been diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome for several years. Well, will Nephrotic Syndrome cause fluid in lung or not on earth? Here we will crack this puzzle.

Nephrotic Syndrome is a problem on kidney that always brings symptoms of massive protein in urine, severe fluid retention, high lipid in blood and low protein in blood. Fluid retention is also called edema and swelling which firstly appears in body parts with loose tissue like eyelid, face, lower limbs and testis for male. Appearance of fluid retention is due to the decreased plasma exchange resulted from severe leakage of protein in urine. Therefore, if proteinuria problem can be controlled well, fluid retention can be managed well too.

Fluid retention refers to the existence of excess fluid among the tissues or cells. In some cases of Nephrotic Syndrome, due to the bad control of illness, fluid retention spreads to the whole body and cause further health tissues like pulmonary edema which is the presence of fluid in the lung. With pulmonary edema, patients may find they have difficulties in breathing, which is especially serious when they are lying on the bed. Pulmonary edema is very dangerous and if not treated effectively, it will cause hydropericardium.

Immunotherapy is an effective treatment for Nephrotic Syndrome. In Immunotherapy, both Chinese medicine and western medicine are applied, but they are used to achieve different treatment goals. By combining the advantages of them, Nephrotic Syndrome can be treated well. Immunotherapy can help to improve kidney function, so after the treatment, not only pulmonary edema, but also other symptoms like massive proteinuria, hyperlipemia and hypoproteinemia can be alleviated fundamentally.

Hope the above information is helpful for you. If you have any other questions on kidney disease or want to get more personalized and professional treatment suggestions, please leave a message below.
