Treatment for Proteinuria, Creatinine 1.7, Morning Face Swelling and Nephrotic Syndrome

Question: I have Nephrotic Syndrome with proteinuria from last 10 years. Now my creatinine level is 1.7 from last 10 to 12 tests. I have morning face swelling and ankle swelling. Recently kidney biopsy shows MPGN. Please give me some suggestions.

Treatment for Proteinuria, Creatinine 1.7, Morning Face Swelling and Nephrotic SyndromeAnswer: MPSN is an autoimmune disease caused by immune complexes depositing in the basement membrane. Those immune complexes cause inflammatory reaction so that basement membrane is impaired and then protein which should be kept in the blood leaks into the urine. When urine leakage is more than 3.5 g/d, Nephrotic Syndrome occurs. Proteinuria and swelling are the typical symptoms of Nephrotic Syndrome. Without timely and effective treatment, inflammatory part will become sclerosis so that your kidney function declines. Creatinine is an indicator of kidney function. When your kidneys work normally, creatinine level is maintained to 0.5-1.2 mg/dL. Now your creatinine level is 1.7, which indicates that your kidney function begins to decrease.

Conventional treatment for Nephrotic Syndrome is steroid treatment, such as prednisone. This kind of medicine can suppress the inflammatory reaction in your body so as to stop their damage to the kidneys. But those immune complexes are still in the kidneys. That is why Nephrotic Syndrome relapses frequently. In Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital, they develop a new treatment for Nephrotic Syndrome, that is, Immunotherapy. This therapy combines with western medicine and Chinese medicine. They can remove those immune complexes from the blood and kidneys to cease inflammation. They can also increase the kidneys’ tolerance to immune complexes so as to prevent kidney inflammation. Beside, they can block abnormal immune system and regulate it. When your immune system is corrected, less immune complexes come into being. This therapy can also improve blood circulation to help kidney self-healing. When your kidney function improves, proteinuria, swelling and some other corresponding symptoms disappear. Your creatinine level will also be normalized.

Now your kidney disease is still in the early stage. Do not exceed the best time for treatment. For more information, please contact online doctor or leave a message below.
