Treatment for Children with Nephrotic Syndrome

Treatment for Children with Nephrotic SyndromeNephrotic Syndrome can occur among people at any age. But it is more common in kids younger than age 5. What is the treatment for children with Nephrotic Syndrome?

Conventional treatment for children with Nephrotic Syndrome

Nephrotic Syndrome patients often have massive proteinuria. The most common used drugs may be glucocorticoid (prednisone and prednisolone), cytotoxic drugs (cyclophosphamide) or other immunosuppressants (cyclosporin A, tacrolimus, mycophenolate mofetil, leflunomide). If you have edema, the most common used drugs may be diuretics.

Though your symptoms are controlled with these medicine, the renal tissues are still in the damaged state. Besides, treating kidney disease is a long process, if you take these medicine for a long time, they will bring you many side effects, such as weight gain, headache, trouble thinking, speaking, or walking, etc. For child patients, these drugs may affect their normal growth and development, especially for the height.

Natural therapy for children with Nephrotic Syndrome

In order to reduce the side effects of western medicine, you had better choose some natural therapy for children when their symptoms are under control. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), there are both external therapies and oral Chinese medicine.

-Foot Bath. It is to immerse feet into the medical soup for about 2 hours. And the water temperature is about 40℃.

-Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is to infiltrate shattered Chinese herbs into the kidneys directly with the help of osmosis devices. When you receive treatment, you just lie on the herbal bags, so it is very convenient.

-Mai Kang Mixture is a kind of Chinese patent medicine.

-Medical soup is made from Chinese herbs.

The above therapies can draw out toxins from the blood, dilate blood vessels, block blood clotting, improve blood circulation, lower cholesterol level, inhibit kidney inflammation and stop kidney fibrosis.
